My name is Shwetabh Srijan, a Ranchite by heart currently working in an IT Security firm at Bangalore. I am an enthusiastic traveler with a recent drift towards the lens. If not coding, I am either travelling or busy managing my leaves and picking on the next spot.
“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” – Robert Louis Stevenson
Though originally a native of Ranchi, I moved to the Garden city of Bangalore to pursue my engineering and ended up in settling here, thanks to many job opportunities, awesome climate and the people. Living in Bangalore opens up lots of travelling options with many nearby getaways. Be it trekking in hills, national parks and jungle camping, backwater, hill stations or sacred temples. The list is big and I am still catching up with it whenever time allow.
The travel bug had bitten me early in my boyhood. Travelling to 2-3 prominent places every year with my parents had revealed my love for diversity and adventure. By the time I completed my 12th grade, I had covered more than half of the total provinces in India and few UTs. Now I crave to explore the global world, capture each and every nook of India and write about my experience.
So forth I have covered 11 countries and over 20 provinces in India. I have witnessed the magnificent Eiffel, strolled the streets of Amsterdam, crawled the Belgian pubs, drove through scotland, night out on the glittering walking streets of Pattaya, taken a river safari in the dense forests of Srilanka & enjoyed the scenic Langkawi, Malaysia. Watching the breathtaking corals in Andaman and biking in the highest motorable road (Ladakh, Kashmir) in the world were my personal favorites. I travel solo or with friends or families, but I make sure that I travel. My hunger to explore the unexplored has grown over years.
Please comment on my travelogue if you find it admiring or inspiring.
